anyways, hi, i'm hackr. i do livestreaming as a hobby and i'll occasionally start up ye olde' VS Code and just do something

below will be a bunch of things that i do
i know i already touched on this a little bit, but it's seriously something i'm trying to do.
i've been streaming on and off for a few years, but only recently have i started streaming more seriously.
this was basically my version of a subathon. except there weren't subscribers involved. now that i think about it, it was more of a followathon
anyways, this was the first instance of me doing streaming seriously.
the first hakkathon stream on August 11th, 2025 marked the beginning of the hakkathon.
this one stream series lasted a very, very long time.
the last stream of the hakkathon (according to my VODs channel) was on the 2nd of November, 2025.
after the hakkathon, i picked up a streaming schedule.
i'd stream every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 5 PM EST.
eventually, i made the time a bit later, at around 12 AM EST.
i decided one day to do a charity stream for the American Heart Association.
it was a 24 hour long stream. i won't go into detail about the revenue about it here, but note that it was a great streaming experience.
i gained a few subscribers during the stream, with two main incentives.
i only started streaming seriously because i got inspiration from watching other VTubers such as:

my name is hackr, which is the short form of "hackrVT" (where VT stands for "VTuber".)
it originated from another username i had made on Xbox Live at like age 7.
it started with "HackerDude1" because i felt like it was a cool name... yeah sometimes it really ain't that deep.
eventually, i decided i hated the name.
i'm uncreative so i just removed the second half and ditched the 'e'
and thus, hackr was born.

basically, i started by fucking around with Python... once again, sometimes it really ain't that deep.
i started making a stupid terminal game in Python with my friend, gooberf, and that was my first real coding project.
it was very modular. it's called Infinite Hallway. you can read about it on GitHub if you're interested.
it's got modding support. pretty cool, huh.
right now, i'm working on a Minecraft mod.
